Creating video creatives
Build your video ad inside NotNoise: pick a copyright-free video, add your artwork and audio, done.
Why video?
Video ads on Instagram and Facebook consistently outperform static images. They stop the scroll, preview your music, and drive higher click-through rates.
Build your ad inside NotNoise
You don't need an editing app. The campaign wizard's Choose your vibe step gives you a huge library of copyright-free videos to use as your ad's background, and NotNoise composes the final video for you:
-
Pick a background video. Search the library by concept ("slow motion", "city lights", "ocean waves", "abstract") or browse the curated categories: Movement & Energy, Urban & Moody, Nature & Atmosphere, Abstract & Textural. Hover any thumbnail to preview it. Every video is free to use with no attribution required.
-
Your track comes along automatically. NotNoise lays your cover art, song title, artist name, and a callout line over the video. In the Customize step you can edit the ad text (suggested copy is pre-filled), toggle each overlay element on or off, and optionally add the Spotify logo (white or green, top or bottom).
-
Choose the audio. Use the track's 30-second streaming preview, upload your own audio and trim it to the right window, or run the ad silent.
-
Preview both placements. The editor shows your ad as a 9:16 Story and as a feed post, so you see exactly what fans will see before you pay.
NotNoise renders the finished video when you confirm the campaign; there's nothing to export or re-upload.
Upload your own
If you have existing video content (music videos, visualizers, behind-the-scenes clips), upload it instead of picking a library video. Best practices:
-
Vertical format (9:16) for Stories and Reels
-
15 to 30 seconds, up to 15 MB
-
Hook in the first 3 seconds
-
Include your song audio
Your uploaded video goes through the same customize step, so you can still add text, artwork, and audio controls on top.
Tips for effective creatives
-
Show your face or performance when you upload your own footage. Ads with artists visible get higher engagement.
-
Use text overlay sparingly. Let the music speak.
-
Match the visual mood to your genre. Dark and moody for post-punk, bright and colorful for pop.
-
Test different creatives across campaigns to see what works best for your audience.
