Creating an ad campaign

Step-by-step guide to launching your first Ads campaign.

The 5-step wizard

Creating a campaign follows a guided wizard. Each step takes about 30 seconds.

Step 1: Pick your song

Choose which release to promote. Your full discography is listed with album art and release dates. You can also promote a playlist.

Filter releases by name if you have a large catalog.

Step 2: Budget and targeting

Choose your budget ($99 to $3,000) and duration (7, 14, 21, or 28 days). NotNoise automatically builds your audience based on genre signals, comparable artists, and listener geography. You can adjust the target countries if you want to focus on specific markets.

Step 3: Choose your vibe

Pick the background video for your ad from a copyright-free library. Search by concept ("slow motion", "city lights", "abstract") or browse the curated categories, and hover any thumbnail to preview it. Prefer your own footage? You can upload a video instead.

Step 4: Customize your ad

Make the ad yours: edit the ad text (suggested copy is pre-filled), toggle the cover art, song title, and artist name overlays, optionally add the Spotify logo, and choose the audio (the track's streaming preview, your own upload, or silent). A live preview shows the Story and feed versions. See Creating video creatives for the full tour.

Step 5: Review and pay

See a summary of your campaign: song, budget and fee breakdown, duration, targeting, and creative. Any performance figures shown here are estimates, not promises. Confirm payment and your campaign is submitted to Meta for review.

After launch

Track your campaign from the Ads dashboard. You'll see campaign metrics such as impressions, clicks, click-through rate, reach, and estimated streams where available, updating as reporting data comes in.
